David Stoesz, PhD, University of Maryland, is a consultant in policy innovation. Dr. Stoesz has extensive experience in various social programs, including public welfare, mental health, and higher education. In addition to having been an award-winning professor, he is the author of several books published by Oxford University Press, most recently The Dynamic Welfare State (2017) and The Investment State (2018). He has received two Fulbright Distinguished Chair awards: the University of Birmingham, UK (2014) as well as Carnegie Mellon University-Australia and Flinders University, Australia (2017). He lives in Santa Fe.
